I'm not sure if I'm the only one but I got really pissed off tonight.
Got to the IRC, asked for a voice.... Then AL - the owner, asked me to register.
So I did, giving my email address - why the fuck is that?
Than I couldn't log in again under my registered name.
Too stupid to understand the procedure - forgive me that.
Why the fuck do we need to give our email addresses to AL in order to keep our names and/or status from the forum?
Just me or there is something wrong with this picture?

Either way, I need some step by step to be in your IRC.
And at the same time. Please, unregister my name so I can be me until I get smarter.

yes it's just you yusuke there's nthing weird with Al he's not plotting to take over you by asking for yor email

In order to give you voice everytime you log on he asked for your email so he can register you onto the irc. nhing weird or wrong with it

Let me clarify some things about IRC =)

When you register, you do so to prevent others from being able to impersonate you. When you connect to the server, you'll have to issue the /identify command followed by your password.

The email address is there so that your password can be recovered if you forget it. Nobody can see neither the password or email address.

Dr Al is not the owner of the IRC server, so he cannot "read the database" or antyhing like that either.

The chat is not LRU's, so Nickserv can't sync with your database. I think SG is looking into having another bot on there to voice VIPs automatically without them having to register.
